Rebecca Small, MD is a leading authority in combining non-surgical medical aesthetic therapies to slow the signs of aging. She is a graduate of Cambridge University, England, and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Small is a clinical professor at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicne where she trains Plastic Surgery and Family Medicine physicians on non-surgical medical aesthetics.
Dr. Small is also the best-selling author of the Practical Guide to medical aesthetics textbook series. The series, which covers botulinum toxins, dermal fillers, lasers, and medical skincare, has been translated into 6 languages and sold more than 20,000 copies worldwide. UCSF Professorship
Dr. Small is a board certified physician specializing in advanced skin rejuvenation techniques. One of these techniques is the advanced, non-surgical “liquid facelift”, which utilizes cosmetic botulinum toxin and dermal fillers. She completed her undergraduate education at Cambridge University in England, and attended Harvard Medical School. Currently, she is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco and Director of Aesthetic Procedure Training at Natividad Medical Center where she has been training physicians in cosmetic procedures for the last 10 years.
As a recognized authority, Dr. Small has lectured internationally, and published many articles and procedural textbooks. Her publications include: Dermatologic and Cosmetic Procedures in Office Practice, and the best-selling series A Practical Guide to Botulinum Toxin Procedures and Dermal Filler Procedures, Lasers Procedures, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion and topical Products.
Since 2003, Dr. Small has served as the owner and Medical Director of Monterey Bay Laser Aesthetics. Dr. Small has over 20 years of hands on experience, extensive teaching experience and has written multiple publications, positioning her as an authority on medical aesthetics.
